8/18/03 - We recently came across another image that contributes to the authentication of our GG-1 nose design and felt that it was worth posting on our site as a matter of interest even though this project has been sold out for years. If you're interested, it's the bottom image on our Design Notes page.

11/14/02 - We are currently aware of three individuals that are looking for either their first or additional GG-1's for their collection, if you have one available or know of one for sale, let us know and we will get the interested parties together.

4/2/00 - The feedback that we continue to receive from customers that have received their GG-1's is extremely positive and we are thrilled.  Not only are customers happy with the appearance and detail, just as important, they are thrilled with the on-track performance of the models.  We hope to be caught up by the end of this coming week with our orders and that will be a real relief!!  Our sincere appreciation to those of you that have shown great patience in waiting your turn to receive your models.  We have established our 'service log' for this project and we are thrilled that the entries are very limited, it seems that the extra time we took in preparation prior to shipping from Korea has really made a difference, we continue to learn with each days experiences and if we stop learning we're dead!!

2/03/00 -  The GG-1's have finally cleared U.S. Customs and we have started the shipping process!  We will work through our orders as quickly as possible without compromising the end results.  Each model receives one last inspection, both cosmetic and operational before it is packed and shipped off to it's new owner.  We will process the orders in the order in which we received the final payments, which is only fair.

1/23/00 - After another trip to Korea for project planning for the upcoming year, we are now looking at offering a limited number of the later variations of the GG-1 (relocated blower vents) as well as undertaking the construction of a limited number of the original 4800 'Rivets' version.  We will continue to update everyone on these developments, this offering will be several months down the road to allow a breather on the GG-1's.  Our immediate objective is to deliver our current project which at this point is in country and hopefully nearing customs clearance.

1/10/00 - We finally have an airfreight 'slot' and the models are in-transit.  We will continue to follow the progress of the shipment.  The shipment is coming directly from Seoul, Korea to Detroit and because of the fragile nature of the shipment we have to be very selective about the routing.  This is by far the most nerve racking part of the project as the models are physically out of our control.

12/26/99 - The Finished production models are on the way in to the country!!  It has been a bit of a battle because of Y2K considerations as related to air-freight, but we finally have a handle on where we stand.  Once the models are in-country and cleared through U.S. Customs the delivery process should move pretty quickly, particularly since we are pasted the holiday shipping rush which I do not regret.  There is a new update going out to all our customers holding reservations with all of the details.

12/15/99 - Final invoices are going out starting this date.  We are actively working to move the models overseas by air and are wrestling with the heavy airfreight schedules and special situations created by the coming of the new millennium.  We understand that our customers are anxious at this point and are doing our best to get the delivery process started.  We will update on a regular basis until all deliveries are complete.

12/7/99 - We are working very hard to finish up this project so that we can start the delivery process prior to Christmas, if all goes well that will happen.  The final detailing and adjustments are a very time consuming endeavor and we certainly want to get it right prior to delivery to our customers.  The final invoices for customers with reservations will be sent out at the end of this week to allow processing time prior to the arrival of the models in our shop in Michigan and that will allow the shipping to start as soon as they arrive.

11/20/99 - The final inspection is under way at this point, more shipping information will be posted as soon as the inspection is complete.

To the left are Mr. Lee & Mr. Han during the final inspection of the GG-1's.

To the right, one of two unpainted GG-1's being inspected for the final time in Korea.

11/10/99 - This project is winding down and the final inspection in Korea is imminent.  We are working diligently to make certain that there will be no delays in delivery once the models are shipped to our shop in Michigan, this is a very time consuming effort and a lot of work on everyone's part to get it right.  We are still on schedule for delivery to customers this month.  I can tell you that I am thrilled with the results of our efforts on this project and I believe that it sets another landmark in o'scale.

10/17/99 - The inspection of the painting and decorating has been completed and the final assembly has commenced.  We are now on schedule for completion of the project by month's end with the final inspection to take place the first week of November.  There is an update being mailed to all reservation holders this week.

10/8/99- The GG-1's are now being readied for an inspection of the paint work and if all goes well, the final assembly will begin.  We are still hoping to have the project completed by the end of this month with the request for final payment going out to those with reservations about the same time.

Regarding the reservation situation, we are now at approximately 90%.  There are still some very desirable variations left for those interested in the collectible nature of the project as well as some of the most popular.  If you are interested and have not contacted us, please check to see what specifically is still available.

There will be an update mailed out to all of those holding reservations as soon as the paint inspection is complete, at that point we will have a very good idea of exactly where we stand timing wise.

9/25/99 - The production on this project is moving forward very nicely at this point, we are not rushing, but rather making certain that we do not have any loose ends to contend with once the models reach our shop.  We hope to start getting the finished models in our customers hands by the end of October and are holding off on the request for final payment until the last minute.  We have an update going out to all that have ordered our GG-1, this weekend.

Our control system is becoming more sophisticated with each project.  Without the use of DCC, on the GG-1 you can control the following features: Horn, Bell, Blowers, Front Pantograph, Rear Pantograph and also the turn the main sound system off and on remotely.  Everything needed for operation is included with the model except the power supply, which should be as we recommend for all of our models, a regulated and fully filtered DC supply.

9/2/99 - The final development and production is now moving forward, thankfully Dallas Gutacker at Dallee Electronics is doing very well after his surgery and has finished the development of our sound and control system.  We have approved our final color samples and are hoping to have the production finished late this month if all goes well.  The paint work on this model is the best that I have ever seen on a model project.  At the last two shows that we have done, we have had the opportunity to demonstrate the remote control pantographs and that has left most onlookers speechless.  All I can honestly say is that I am absolutely thrilled with what we have to offer with this project and quite frankly, it is a bargain at $2,800!

8/10/99 - We are currently planning on the delivery of the GG-1 models to customers late in September.  Requests for final payments will not take place until the models have been inspected in Korea and are booked on a flight to Detroit, this should take place in approximately 4-5 weeks.

7/30/99 - A customer update has been mailed to all customers holding reservations for our GG-1 model.

7-10-99 - After a just completed visit to the production facility in Korea we can tell you that the GG-1 production is on schedule for completion by the end of this month.  We still have a couple of small hurdles to negotiate, but the project is looking extremely good.  After completion of the production we will be doing extensive testing in Korea prior to bringing the finished models to our facility in Michigan.  We will have a sample from the production at our next two shows during this month.  There will be updated photos posted to our site as soon as they are available.  The 'Collector' editions will still be completed approximately thirty (30) days after the regular production models are complete.
